In a nutshell

10 A PWM solar charge controller for 48 V batteries, with LCD screen and two USB ports.

A PWM is the simplest solar charge controller: it connects the panel directly to the battery and regulates the charge so it does not overcharge.

What you should know

• It is suitable for small 48 V systems with two 72-cell panels in series or four 36-cell panels in series.
• It is not for large panels: for those an MPPT charge controller is used.
• The liquid crystal display lets you view and adjust the configuration.
• Load output for lights or other loads, with manual control, timer, programmable lighting control and low-voltage disconnection to protect the battery.

About this model

• Three-stage charging (bulk, absorption and float), programmable: absorption at 57.6 V and float at 54.8 V.
• It accepts up to 100 V from the panels.
• The load output turns off at 44.8 V.
• Two 5 V USB ports (2 A). It consumes only 10 mA.
• Protected against reverse polarity of the panel and the battery (with fuse), against short circuit and overload on the load output, and against excess temperature.
