WeCo or Victron? How to choose the system for your villa or business

WeCo and Victron are two excellent brands, and SUSEINCA is certified by both. For self-consumption with batteries, we recommend WeCo batteries with both WeCo and Victron inverters. Systems with Victron inverters are the more premium option, for those who want greater control of the system and its monitoring, and integration with home automation.
What they have in common
- Factory certification. Victron Energy certifies us as a direct factory representative for the Dominican Republic, qualified to provide support and preventive and corrective maintenance (letter dated November 11, 2021). WeCo accredits us as an authorized representative and technical support provider for Latin America (letter dated October 9, 2025).
- Batteries prepared for the coast. We use WeCo 16K0 batteries in coastal areas: they are fully sealed and finished with marine paint. You will find them in both reference pairs in this guide, with both WeCo and Victron inverters.
- Expandable. The systems can grow in panels and batteries.
- Sized to your actual consumption. We analyze your last 12 months of consumption.
- Monitoring. View your system through the powerful Victron VRM platform or the WeCo NOOR app, depending on the inverter system brand you choose. If you wish, SUSEINCA can monitor the entire system through an optional monitoring service with a monthly subscription.
When to choose WeCo
Choose WeCo if you are looking for a complete self-consumption system with batteries for your villa or business.
- Complete packages with installation from US$ 10,405, ITBIS included, for about 500 kWh a month, expandable in panels and batteries.
- Inverters for every scale. The XTS family is used in villa packages; the TH and HYBO families are used in larger systems and commercial and industrial projects.
- Large-scale storage. A-Kool high-voltage batteries, from 112 kWh units (A-Kool 7X) to 240 kWh cabinets (A-Kool 241).
- WeCo NOOR app for viewing your system.
Price includes ITBIS. It assumes the ITBIS exemption on the panels and the inverter provided for in Law 57-07, an exemption authorized by the National Energy Commission (CNE). If the exemption is not authorized for reasons attributable to the client, the client must pay the applicable ITBIS in order for the invoice to be issued. Batteries are subject to ITBIS; their exemption is processed only for large projects, upon request.
When to choose Victron
Victron systems are more premium, with greater control of the system and its monitoring. Choose Victron if you want greater control and integration with home automation.
- Greater control. Our Victron packages include a Cerbo GX for system monitoring, which you can view through the VRM platform.
- Ideal for home automation. We can connect the solar system to home automation so the house manages energy on its own; for example, with an automatic maximum-saving mode when the property is empty. The most advanced energy management functions are available with Victron inverters. To control the entire house, additional control equipment tailored to each need is installed, and home automation quotes are prepared after a site survey.
- Born for boats. Victron inverters were born to be installed on boats, so they are prepared for demanding environments: salt air, humidity and heat. Victron, founded in 1975 in the Netherlands, has more than 50 years in the market.
- Victron batteries. On request, we also install Victron batteries for marine use or on a project basis.
Two reference systems, side by side
We compare two pairs of packages with the same approximate consumption. In both pairs, the batteries are the same; the inverter system, its monitoring and the solar capacity of each package differ.

Our advice
These packages are a reference: ideally, each case should be assessed individually to optimize the design for each customer's circumstances. To guide you in choosing the inverter system brand, we consider:
- Your consumption. We start with your last 12 months.
- Your schedule. How much energy you need available in the batteries during hours without sunlight.
- Your roof or land.
- The control you want over the system and its monitoring, and whether you want to integrate it with home automation.
Frequently asked questions
Which is better, WeCo or Victron?
Both are excellent, and SUSEINCA is certified by both; the choice depends on what you are looking for. For self-consumption with batteries, we recommend WeCo batteries; if you want greater control of the system and integration with home automation, Victron inverters are the more premium option.
Can I have Victron inverters with WeCo batteries?
Yes. Our packages with Victron inverters include WeCo 16K0 batteries, the same sealed batteries finished with marine paint that we use on the coast.
How will I view my system once it is installed?
Through the Victron VRM platform if your system has Victron inverters, or through the WeCo NOOR app if it has WeCo inverters. If you also want to control the house, additional control equipment tailored to each need is installed.
Are they prepared for coastal conditions?
Yes. WeCo 16K0 batteries are fully sealed and finished with marine paint, and Victron inverters were born to be installed on boats. In addition, the systems use modules tested for salt spray under IEC 61701, aluminum or stainless steel structures, and corrosion-resistant fasteners.
