In a nutshell
Small 12 V, 1,200 VA inverter/charger with automatic transfer: when the grid is on, it charges the battery and passes the current through; during a power outage, it keeps supplying what is connected without interruption.
Ideal for vehicles, boats, small cabins or as backup for lights and TV.
