How much does a kWh cost in Casa de Campo, and how much can I save?
Casa de Campo has its own electricity distributor for the complex and a reference rate of approximately RD$ 21/kWh. Confirm yours on your bill. We calculate savings according to your consumption and the proposed system; we do not apply the same savings figure to every property. La Romana town is supplied by EDEESTE and has a different rate.
How long does it take to recover the investment?
Generally, about 4 years. This is an estimate, not a guarantee: the period is calculated using your bill and the system sized for your property. We size the system by analyzing your last 12 months of consumption.
What is self-consumption with batteries, and do you offer net metering?
It means using solar energy and storing some of it in batteries to reduce the electricity purchased from the grid. Our systems in the eastern region are designed for 100% self-consumption with batteries, without exporting to the grid or using net metering. SUSEINCA is an authorized distributor of Victron Energy and WeCo.
What happens if the power goes out?
Backup depends on the protected loads, the configuration, and the energy available in the batteries; we define it with you when sizing the system. In Casa de Campo, the system’s main objective remains reducing electricity purchases.
Is it suitable for a small hotel with 50 to 60 rooms?
Yes. We size the system using your last 12 months of consumption. We also integrate turnkey automation controlled from a phone and computer, with a minimum air-conditioning temperature setting and an automatic maximum energy-saving mode when the property is empty.
Can I get assistance in my language?
Yes. On WhatsApp at +1 809 998 1120, we assist you in Spanish, English, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Russian, Dutch and many more languages. You can send us your bills so we can assess the system for your villa, business, or small hotel.
Can I view the system from my phone if I live abroad?
Yes. View your system through the powerful Victron VRM platform or the NOOR app by WeCo, depending on the inverter system brand you choose. The automation also lets you control your villa or small hotel from a phone and computer.
How much sun does Casa de Campo receive each year?
PVGIS-ERA5 estimates about 2,039 kWh/m² per year on a horizontal surface, consistent with NASA POWER. As a production reference, PVGIS estimates about 1,600 kWh per year for each kWp installed, with 14% losses considered in the calculation. These are model estimates; your installation’s production depends on its conditions and design.
How do you select equipment for the coastal environment?
In this coastal area, SUSEINCA uses modules tested for salt mist under IEC 61701, aluminum or stainless steel structures, and corrosion-resistant fasteners. We select the equipment and plan its installation with salt air and humidity in mind.
What batteries and inverters do you use for the salt air in Casa de Campo?
The WeCo 16K0 batteries we use are fully sealed and coated with marine paint. We pair them with Victron inverters, originally designed for installation on boats and prepared for salt air, humidity and heat. For your property between the Caribbean Sea and the Chavón River, this selection takes the area’s salt air and humidity into account.
How does automation help in a villa intended for Airbnb?
It lets you schedule climate control, water heaters, and lighting, activate an automatic maximum energy-saving mode when the property is empty, and prepare the home before arrival. We also install locks with a different code for each reservation. The installation is turnkey and includes all hardware, with control from a phone and computer.
Are you certified by the manufacturers?
Yes. Victron Energy certifies SUSEINCA as its direct factory representative for the Dominican Republic, qualified to provide support and preventive and corrective maintenance (letter dated November 11, 2021), and WeCo accredits SUSEINCA as its authorized representative and technical support provider for Latin America (letter dated October 9, 2025). Both official letters are publicly available and linked on this page.
