How long is the equipment covered by warranty?
Warranties depend on the brand and model of each product. As a guide, solar panels almost always have 12 years of coverage against manufacturing defects and 25 years of coverage for linear degradation; inverters have 5 years; and batteries have 5 years, extendable to 10 years. All warranties are always subject to the manufacturer’s terms and acceptance.
Who is responsible if equipment fails?
The manufacturer of each product, subject to its conditions and acceptance. As a guide, solar panels almost always have 12 years of coverage against manufacturing defects and 25 years of coverage for linear degradation; inverters have 5 years; and batteries have 5 years, extendable to 10 years. SUSEINCA handles claims as an authorized representative and does not provide an additional warranty of its own on the equipment.
What warranty does the WeCo 16K0-LV battery have?
WeCo’s warranty has two parts: the warranty against manufacturing defects (Article 1 of its official document, with no fixed number of years) and a voluntary performance warranty of 120 months from installation or 8,000 cycles, whichever occurs first, requiring at least 65% residual capacity. In that case, the remedy is repair, replacement or proportional compensation, at WeCo’s discretion, subject to the conditions of WeCo’s official limited warranty.
What do I need to make a warranty claim?
To start, provide the equipment’s serial number, invoice, installation date, inverter type and a description of the fault. For WeCo batteries, the official document also requires at least 5 photos of the installation and access to monitoring, and WeCo determines whether the case is covered within a reasonable period of no more than 30 days.
Are you certified by the manufacturers?
Yes. Victron Energy certifies SUSEINCA as its direct factory representative for the Dominican Republic, qualified to provide support and preventive and corrective maintenance (letter dated November 11, 2021), and WeCo accredits SUSEINCA as its authorized representative and technical support provider for Latin America (letter dated October 9, 2025). Both official letters are publicly available: Victron and WeCo.
